About Great Life Outdoors: Heritage, Expertise, and Quality Gear
Welcome to Great Life Outdoors, where the heritage of the local sporting goods shop meets the efficiency of modern online shopping. Based on decades of field experience and a deep-rooted passion for the wild, we bridge the gap between "big box" pricing and "small town" service.
Our Story: From Traverse City to Your Doorstep
Our roots run deep in the soil of Traverse City, Michigan. For generations, our family owned and operated a local sporting goods landmark. We witnessed firsthand how the rise of massive retailers in the 1980s changed the landscape, closing the family-run shops that were once the heartbeat of our community.
Today, we are bringing that local expertise back. With over 50 years of retail experience, we have mastered the art of sourcing the best outdoor gear at competitive prices—without ever sacrificing the personalized customer service of a bygone era.
